The Worship Leader at MSBC is charged with planning and executing a music worship time that will help lead our church family in engaging the Lord and responding to Him in worship. 

Job Responsibilities:

Post music (lead sheets, chord charts, etc.) for musicians and singers to review prior to rehearsal on Planning Center.  Schedule volunteer musicians, singers, and others as needed. Plan out worship sets a month ahead of time and get 
   information to worship team.

Lead all rehearsals with the band and singers.  Rehearsals are held Thursday evenings, with an occasional practice
  change because of church events.

Work with technical volunteers to ensure all content and service plans are prepared for each service.

Vocally & instrumentally lead music in the worship service.

Provide servant-leadership and discipleship for volunteers in the worship ministry.

Meet with the pastor as needed for planning and evaluation.

Qualifications:

Know Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior.

Passion for God and worship ministry.

Demonstrate a servant’s heart and desire to grow in his/her walk with God.

Proficient on a musical instrument that could lead worship if needed without additional volunteers.  Excellent guitar or
   piano skills are preferred.

Understanding of praise band instruments (piano, keyboard, guitar, bass, percussion) to the extent necessary to
   successfully select music and lead a rehearsal.

Vocal skills in singing lead and parts as part of the worship service.

Prior experience as a worship leader is a plus.

Compensation: $15,000 a year with potential for transitioning into a full-time position with higher salary/benefits.
